Run to breathe
Run to breathe is a campaign encouraging Gen Z to use the adidas Running app. This project was designed collaboratively as a creative accepted into the D&AD New Blood Academy of 2024.
We have designed social media posts to promote Run to Breathe, in partnership with highly influential and environmental activists Leo Messi and Taylor Swift.
I was 1 of 36 creatives accepted into the New Blood Academy of 2024. The academy was a professional program, connecting creatives and learning valuable industry knowledge from professionals. I worked collaboratively on an adidas brief mentored by Design Bridge and Partners Singapore.
Adidas Running app is an app that lets users track and log 100 different activities including running, walking, cycling and hiking. Users can share their success with each other to help reach goals.
As Gen Z are united with the idea of making the world a better and greener place, we believe that running together can solve this.
Adidas Running app is currently not used very often by the Gen Z community, as it does not align with their interests.
My team created a Run to Breathe function in the app, that tracks the kilometres users run and in turn goes towards planting trees. You must first invite friends on your run and afterwards will have access to the amount of trees you have planted.
We have designed posters to be placed in polluted and overpopulated cities, to inspire Gen Z audiences in these areas to run to create a greener future.
Run to Breathe is designed to be an inclusive and environmental fitness campaign, inviting everyone to participate. To show this we utilised a fresh, organic visual style with a green colour palette.
To communicate the idea of running to breathe, we created an illustration of the adidas logo shaped as a tree.
By running together using the adidas Running app, the kilometers users run will turn into the number of trees Adidas plants.
